Each month, NCHCA presents a safety award to an individual who demonstrates awareness of safety issues and acts proactively to prevent injury or damage to property.
The August Safety Award recognizes a Louis Bray Construction Limited worker for his actions in recognizing a safety issue. The Louis Bray worker came upon a subcontractor worker that was using marijuana, then an illegal substance, in a safety sensitive environment.
He recognized this as a safety concern and creating a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. The Louis Bray worker reported the incident to his supervisor and the subcontractor worker was subsequently removed from the site. The worker’s proactive approach ensured a safer jobsite and prevented potential injury or damage to property. Congratulations!
